José Muñoz León was born in Santiago, Chile. At elementary school, he studied at Centro de Educación General Básica in San Miguel. Later, he completed his high school studies at Liceo N.6 Andrés Bello located in San Miguel as well. José studied English Teaching at USACH. He finished his university studies in 1984 and then he started to work as a teacher in different places. He had his first job at an institute called Instituto Comercial Libertador Bernardo O’higgins . He worked there for about ten years. Later, he worked at John Dewey College in Las Condes In 2001, José started to work at Universidad Arcis as a teacher of English and a supervisor. He worked there until 2010. After that he entered Universidad San Sebastián as a Coordinator until the year 2012. At present, he works at U. de Chile in the Arts Faculty and at Duoc. José lives with his family in La Cisterna.
